Message from our new vicar

The Rev. Philip Miller – the new incumbent of the Parishes of St Peters, Bromyard and Saint Peter and Saint Paul Stoke Lacy, was collated on the 8th March 2023.

I’m the Rev Phil Miller.

I was ordained in 2013, serving as a Self-supporting Minister at St
Luke, Beccles. In 2017 I became Rector of the nine churches within the Hundred
River and Wainford Benefice in rural Suffolk.

My call to ministry dates back to my teenage years, but God has needed to do some work on me to prepare me over the years; from working at Bible Society in Swindon, through working with a local electrical contractor, and in a large print works, to performing in amateur musicals, along with training to be a Reader and then ordination.

My wife, Natalie, and I will have been married for 39 years in April this year. Natalie is currently a Senior Tax Manager in a regional accountancy firm, and has served as President for the Association of Tax Technicians as well as being a council member for the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Together we have two wonderful daughters. Our eldest, Naomi, lives in Bath with her husband, and our youngest, Abigail, lives in Suckley with her husband and our two Grandsons.

When not ‘vicaring’ I like to go fishing, and attempting to be the next Eric Clapton!

Natalie and I are very excited about coming and working with the people of St Peter, Bromyard and Ss Peter & Paul, Stoke Lacy, and the wider communities
